या ब्रह्माच्युतशंकरप्रभृतिभिर्दे वैः सदा पूजिता सा मां पातु सरस्वती भगवती निःशेषजाड्यापहा ॥
भावार्थ :-जो कुन्द के फूल, चन्द्रमा, बर्फ और हार के समान श्वेत हैं, जो शुभ्र वस्त्र धारण करती हैं, जिनके हाथ उत्तम वीणा से सुशोभित हैं, जो श्वेत कमलासन पर बैठती हैं, ब्रह्मा, विष्णु, महेश आदि देव जिनकी सदा स्तुति करते हैं और जो सब प्रकार की जड़ता हर लेती हैं, वे भगवती सरस्वती मेरा पालन करें ।
शारदा शारदाम्भोजवदना वदनाम्बुजे । सर्वदा सर्वदास्माकं सन्निधिं सन्निधिं क्रियात् ॥
भावार्थ :-
शरत्काल में उत्पन्न कमल के समान मुखवाली और सब मनोरथों को देनेवाली शारदा सब सम्पत्तियों के साथ मेरे मुख में सदा निवास करें ।
सरस्वतीं च तां नौमि वागधिष्ठातृदेवताम् । देवत्वं प्रतिपद्यन्ते यदनुग्रहतो जना: ॥
भावार्थ :-
वाणी की अधिष्ठात्री उन देवी सरस्वती को प्रणाम करता हूँ, जिनकी कृपा से मनुष्य देवता बन जाता है ।
शुक्लां ब्रह्मविचारसारपरमामाद्यां जगद्व्यापिनीं । वीणापुस्तकधारिणीमभयदां जाड्यान्धकारापहाम् । हस्ते स्फाटिकमालिकां च दधतीं पद्मासने संस्थितां वन्दे ताम् परमेश्वरीं भगवतीं बुद्धिप्रदां शारदाम् ॥
भावार्थ :-जिनका रूप श्वेत है, जो ब्रह्मविचार की परम तत्व हैं, जो सब संसार में फैले रही हैं, जो हाथों में वीणा और पुस्तक धारण किये रहती हैं, अभय देती हैं, मूर्खतारूपी अन्धकार को दूर करती हैं, हाथ में स्फटिकमणि की माला लिए रहती हैं, कमल के आसन पर विराजमान होती हैं और बुद्धि देनेवाली हैं, उन आद्या परमेश्वरी भगवती सरस्वती की मैं वन्दना करता हूँ ।

भावार्थ :-
बुद्धिरूपी सोने के लिए कसौटी के समान सरस्वती जी, जो केवल वचन से ही विद्धान् और मूर्खों की परीक्षा कर देती है, हमलोगों का पालन करें ।

महादेव्यै महाकाल्यै महालक्ष्म्
ब्रह्मविष्णुशिवायै च ब्रह्मना
Mahaa-Devyai Mahaakaalyai Mahaalakssmyai Namo Namah |
Brahma-Vissnnu-Shivaayai Ca Brahman-Aaryai Namo Namah ||
Meaning:
Who is Mahadevi (the Great Goddess), Who is Mahakali and Who is Mahalakshmi; Salutations,
Who is Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva (
कमलाकरपुष्पा च कामरूपे नमो नमः
कपालि कर्मदीप्तायै कर्मदायै
Kamala-[A]akara-Pusspaa Ca Kaama-Ruupe Namo Namah |
Kapaali Karma-Diiptaayai Karma-Daayai Namo Namah ||
Meaning:
Who is the Source of Lotus (i.e. Source of Purity) and Whose Form expresses the fulfilment of Wishes; Salutations,
Who is the Receiver of Oblations, Who Shine with the Oblation of Activities and Who is also the Energybehind those Activities Salutations,
सायं प्रातः पठेन्नित्यं षण्मा
चोरव्याघ्रभयं नास्ति पठतां शृ
Saayam Praatah Patthen-Nityam Ssann-Maasaat Siddhir-Ucyate |
Cora-Vyaaghra-Bhayam Naasti Patthataam Shrnnvataam-Api ||
Meaning:
Those who Recite this Stotra Regularly in the Early Morning and Evening for Six Months with Devotion, will become Fit for Siddhi (i.e. will receive the Grace of Devi Saraswati),
Those who Recite or Listen to this Stotra will Nothave the Fear of Thieves (i.e. loss of wealth due to theft) or Tigers (i.e. attack of wild animals).
इत्थं सरस्वतीस्तोत्रम् अगस्त्
सर्वसिद्धिकरं नॄणां सर्वपापप्
Ittham Sarasvatii-Stotram Agastya-Muni-Vaacakam |
Sarva-Siddhi-Karam Nrrnnaam Sarva-Paapa-Prannaashannam ||
Meaning:
Thus this Saraswati Stotram composed by Sage Agastya,
Leads to all Accomplishments and Destroys all Sins.
इति श्री अगस्त्यमुनिप्रोक्तं
Thus ends the Saraswati Stotram composed by Sage Agastya.
